NO WAR
How about ending the illegal sanctions?
What does the US gain from starving the people’s Iraq?
Will Unseating the Saddam regime provide
stability to the Middle East or Israel?
Why is it imperative to stop a nation who can’t strike more than 150km in any direction…
when another nation arms itself with Nuclear weapons and the capacity to strike the US?
Why kill when you can do thousands of other things?

This world is fucked…and it’s almost all of our faults…instead of pretending we have no responsibility to our own future disaster lets do something to avoid it. Perhaps a new regime in Afghanistan, Iraq and other regions of the Middle East can be beneficiary, but will it help the people living there. Why is the US attacking with such force and so little regard for the lives of the people in these nations on so little evidence? If the US ignores the UN why should we even have it?
War…almost a constant in some lives…it can be pretty easily said that they aren’t the lucky ones sitting here reading this. They’ll be lucky to make it to my age and even luckier to have the chance to read half the stuff I have (Wow I sound arrogant now!). But regardless of who is suffering we need to ask ourselves how we allow ourselves to be pushed around by leaders the way we are. Do we even need leaders to solve problems? Do our leaders even solve problems?

So if leaders aren’t the solutions what is? Are ideas the solution? Is Escapism the road to success? Is personal enlightenment enough? IS yoga or meditation the key? How about training everyone to fight or defend themselves?

Perhaps some possibilities mentioned are more important than others but for all intents and purposes, laypeople generally don’t think war is the solution unless they’ve been harmed by others. If they haven’t been harmed by others reasons will get created to make people think they have been harmed. In Vietnam simple villagers were labeled as savages who made the landmines their fellow comrades were blown up on. In WWII Germans and the Japanese were vicious monsters capable of anything against our women, children and mainly our way of life. This is how the art of war-making happens. Chinese farmers couldn’t tell the difference between Japanese pilots and their own pilots but somehow knew they were different. Are Canadians evil igloo dwelling Cannibals to Americans even though we look (and are), relatively the same?

Presently war never seems to solve the problem. The problem seems to be psychological deficiencies and shortcomings of leaders leading people (mainly gullible and poor men) to die. If people thirsted for love and nurturing instead of control and resources we would truly live in a world worth dying for. As it stands none of my friends feel it worth while to die for this world or for our leaders? The feeling is like this: Why don’t you fucks who want war go fight for it and die. It may sound arrogant but I don’t believe there are any truly Great or Noble wars anymore and probably never were. If we concentrated on communication and negotiating mutual futures perhaps all this war can be avoided. Until we learn to communicate we are left looking to find the lesser of two evils and support them.

Case and point: Saddam/Bush which one is worthy of being trusted? Which one was elected under a democratic election process? Which one isn’t power-hungry? Which one truly believes god is on their side? Which leader is sending their troops off to battle? The truth is bush has lied many times in the very short amount of time he’s been in office before 9/11 happened and Saddam Hussein isn’t exactly a bastion of truth-telling either. Bush wasn’t elected and refused a hand-count of many reasons (mainly because he lost). Saddam threatened death to those who didn’t vote for him. These guys are totally aware of what war does to people and especially their people. They choose to arm and fight in defiance of all common sense. Do US troops know how hot (temperature and mob mentality-wise) it’s gonna be down there in a few weeks? Do they think a shell-shocked population will welcome them with open arms (which they surely did not last time) after being bombed for 12 years straight after the gulf war slaughter?

Is this war over Oil, Water or strategic land from which to attack the next axis of evil member Iran? Does anyone remember when the US put Saddam’s family in charge of Iraq because they wanted to make sure that 60% of the population (the shi’a) who are ideologically linked to Iran doesn’t get into power. Anyone remember when the US sold them Anthrax, VX, Sarin, West Nile and tons of other chemical and biological weapons when they fought America’s enemy Iran? Anyone found any logical link between al qae’da and Saddam yet?

Who are the terrorists now? US or Iraq? Who abuses it’s power worldwide? Who uses populations including their own as fodder for the next war it illegally creates? Yes Iraq isn’t run by angels but they can’t do much besides attack their own citizens without attracting world-wide attention but when the US attacks someone it is justified? The real terrorists aren’t running from cave to cave, they’re running to power lunches with business suits on? Their interests are never peace and security they are power and control of everything they can get their fingers into. Whichever country you look at you’ll see the same trend. But by and large the US is Indicted the most and is the worst at getting caught abusing their power.
But hey, I don’t really care that much cause my country sure isn’t gonna get hit by terrorists like the US will. This may again sound arrogant as other people die but I haven’t caused these wars or conditions to create these wars so why should I feel guilty? I’m happy to know that even our strategic locations mean nothing to our terrorism enemies who have long used Canada as a haven for terrorists. Even if dying to terrorism ends my life or friends or families I will feel no shame knowing that I spoke up in this time of other people’s need to end the corruption of the biggest crumbling empire the world has yet seen.

My conclusion:

It has to be up to Americans to start getting rid of the liars, the cheaters and take their country back from the leaders (who no one would ever follow into battle) and take this once proud nation back from the politicians, backstabbers, professional liars and paid hit men. Only when you get rid of international terrorists from your leadership, lobby groups, PR firms, and your diplomatic departments will you ever stop to receive the hatred from other nations you receive right now. You are # 1 as most hated and most despised and not most respected and benevolent. You are not a democratic nation and you are not loved the world over just for being American. You as the people the United States must swallow your pride and earn your way back into the hearts and minds of the world by rising up and taking down the tyrants who control you.  It is up to you not to anyone else. We can give you support but that is all. Good luck and I hope you learn quickly that Dubya doesn’t give a fuck about ya!

Now go out and (re)capture your past glory!
